About us

our vision

Wedidit Media concept was developed with the ideal of collaboration in mind. We pride ourselves in working with a combination of professionals from both the business and art worlds.

People with marketing and business experience, as well as documentary film makers, stills photographers, lighting, sound engineers, musicians and graphic designers are all proudly involved in our projects. Each contributor brings their own technical and professional skills to the table when working on a production.

The quality of the production and the ability to deliver promptly is extremely important to us. Current and emerging technological innovations not only enable us to harness the best of each individual’s creativity and technical skills, but also ensure that our individual ways of life are being respected in the process. The freedom of being able to work from home, having coffee at a café or working in a studio translates into a higher production quality by having the ability to enjoy our preferred surroundings.

In this spirit we believe that individual contributions to “creative commons” is beneficial to creative collaborations. It allows others to enjoy appropriate portions of our material as a means to encourage free media usage whilst maintaining copyrights.

We also pride ourselves in providing support to community projects and causes. Our contributions include documenting fund raising events, camera work for Melbourne’s Channel 31 TV Variety program ‘The Shtick’ and contributions to new emerging artists.

our logo

Our logo was designed with the idea of co-operative efforts and the strong impact of ‘the eye’ as a visual symbol.

The Pentagon was chosen based on its use of the figure 5. Five is a prominent and sacred figure in nearly all cultures and religions and the pentagon is also used to symbolise richness, strength and stability in the corporate world.

A pentagon shows completeness and balance and has the property to perpetuate itself into infinite numbers of other pentagons and polygons.
The iris, which can also be viewed as a reel, contains five pentagon-based shapes tied together to form one combined pentagon symbolising co-operative work. Each of the smaller pentagons symbolises one of the 5 elements of Feng Shui (earth, water, fire, metal and wood), bringing together harmony, balance and stability.

behind the scenes

“Bringing art and business together is something I have always been passionate about.”

The driving force behind Wedidit Media is Eytan Shaham. With a background in the IT and Telecommunications industries, Eytan arrived in Australia in 2004 to complete a masters degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Swinburne University of Technology. Whilst researching into the Australian Film Industry, he continued to practice his deep interest in art and art production.

He worked as a professional photographer in the early 90’s, doubling as a studio and street photographer at local newspaper and for private commissions. In 2001 he joined Daphna Arod, a renowned artist based in Tel-Aviv as her assistant painter on a commission called the “Blue Forest”. The painting was aimed at raising one and half million US dollars for a youth shelter. It was shown at the United Nations Assembly building in New York, where it was received with high acclaim.

Over the past year Eytan has taken professional courses at RMIT, and at a Los Angeles based Film Institute. Since then he has striven to increase and update his skills and knowledge whilst involving himself in as many productions as possible.
